Switching, safely

Your history comes with you.

Migration fear is the single biggest reason practices stay on software they have outgrown. We treat the switch as part of the product, not as something that happens to you afterwards.

A practice owner, implementation specialist and dental nurse planning a software migration.

Three things we will commit to.

Your data moves, and it is checked. Patient records, clinical history, imaging references, financial history and appointments are migrated, reconciled against your current system, and verified with you before you rely on any of it.

You don’t close the book. Cutover is planned around your schedule, not ours. The practice keeps seeing patients through the change, and there is a defined point at which we can step back if it is not going well.

A person, not a portal. Someone who knows your practice stays with you through the transition and past it, until using iKoru is boring.

What we’ll put in writing before we ask anyone to move.

The specificity is the point. These are the words that convince someone who has been through a bad migration.

  • The migration scope, field by field: what comes across, what is archived, and what honestly cannot come.
  • A dated cutover plan, with a rollback point that is agreed before we start.
  • Who is accountable during the change, and how to reach them without a ticket number.
  • What happens to your data if you ever leave.

Switching, safely

And a word about leaving.

You should be able to leave. A platform that keeps its customers by making departure painful has stopped competing on merit and started competing on lock-in. Your data is exportable in a usable form for as long as you are with us, and on the way out.
